Pastor Hodges

Mark Hodges is a third generation pastor and has served as our lead pastor since October of 1981. He has Bachelor degrees in Religious Education and Ministry in Theology from Faith Baptist College; Master of Arts in Communication from Louisiana Baptist University (where he presently serves as trustee); and an honorary degree, Doctor of Theology from Calvary Baptist College.

Through Pastor Hodges’ leadership, the church has given over 3 million dollars to missions; sent out many couples to the mission field (presently are the sending church for 5 families); has trained and sent out many who are serving in full time Christian service; and has planted over 20 churches.  In 2010, his son Robert planted a new work in Orlando, FL.

Pastor Hodges loves the ministry that God has given to him and strives to inspire God's people to love the Lord, serve others, and to impact the world.  He has a real passion to reach the Polk County area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He places supreme emphasis on carrying out the Great Commission – reaching our world for Christ!  He has ministered in over 30 foreign countries, while leading many adult and teen foreign mission endeavors.

Mark & Denise were married on October 5, 1979. God blessed them with two children (Robert & Sarah) who are now married and serving full-time in Christian ministry.; and also five beautiful grandchildren. After serving together, Denise went to be with the Lord in 2020.  It is the desire of Mark to be a faithful servant in ministering  to those at home and abroad.
